In the foreign press lately, the Central Asian countries have been increasingly mentioned in the context of the deteriorating situation in Afghanistan. However, in the region itself, no less important and interesting processes are taking place.
There are many factors that contribute to the rapprochement between Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan, Tajik political scientist Parviz Mullojanov believes. In his opinion, there are no insoluble contradictions between the two countries, political will is needed to resolve the problems that have arisen on the border.
