With Training by Cabar.Asia Mediaschool, Tutors of the Journalism Faculties of Tajikistan’s University Brought to Date Their New Media Knowledge
Supported by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan and country universities, 21 journalism tutors took part in an intensive training conducted on August 20-25. The training resulted in a production of the new media program to be used in universities. (more…)
From 10 to 21 June 2019, participants of the CABAR.asia School of Analytics had professional internships in the analytical centers of Georgia. The internship was organized by the IWPR Office in Central Asia.
In the centers of Tursunzoda, Shaartuz, Dusti and Nosiri Khusrav districts, the representatives of public organizations and local governments, social workers, staff of Ministry of Education, religious leaders discussed the issues of promoting interreligious tolerance and countering violent extremism with experts. On May 23, 2019, IWPR Tajikistan hosted an expert meeting “Migration from Tajikistan to Russia: Analysis of New Trends”. Experts, representatives of state, international and public organizations, independent analysts and journalists discussed the current state of labor migration from Tajikistan to Russia and offered their vision of the ways to solve the observed problems.
IWPR Tajikistan trained 71 imam-khatibs during the trainings in the cities of Tursunzoda, Khujand, Konibodom. The imam-khatibs from border districts, representatives of local authorities, the Committee of Religion, Regulation of Traditions, Celebrations and Ceremonies under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Centre for Islamic Studies under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan participated in the trainings.
cabar.asia School of Analytics, where young analysts and experts from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan took part, has ended in Almaty.
On April 8, 2019, IWPR Tajikistan hosted an expert meeting “Introduction of the Insurance System in Healthcare of Tajikistan”. Experts, representatives of public and private organizations, independent analysts and journalists discussed the observed problems in the healthcare system of Tajikistan, the prospects for the introduction of the insurance system and offered their recommendations.
IWPR Central Asia within the ‘Development of new media and digital journalism in Central Asia’ project announces a tender to conduct a research of news consumption patterns across new media in four Central Asian countries – Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan.
IWPR Held an Expert Meeting on the Role and Status of the Russian Language in Central Asian Countries
On March 15, 2019, a regional expert meeting “The Role and Status of the Russian Language in Central Asia” was held at the IWPR Office in Tajikistan. Independent experts, employees of state bodies and universities, representatives of research centers, political scientists and journalists discussed the status of the Russian language in the region, its place in the linguistic landscape of Central Asian countries, and offered their vision and suggestions for the future fruitful coexistence of Russian and national languages of Central Asian countries.
