The Representative Office of the Institute for War and Peace Reporting (IWPR) in Central Asia in cooperation with the Foreign Policy Center invites you to participate in the international online discussion dedicated to the topic of “Saving our cities: citizen activism to protect housing and heritage in Central Asia”.

We are pleased to invite you to the upcoming international online discussion organized by IWPR Central Asia and Foreign Policy Center London. The panel of speakers will discuss the topic of destruction of historical heritage and chaotic infill development in Central Asia. Experts will reflect on how the very treatment of the city planning changed since Soviet times and how it can go different ways within the same region. 

Date: May 25th, 2021 (Tuesday)

  • 7 pm – Dushanbe/Tashkent
  • 8 pm – Bishkek/Nur-Sultam
  • 3 pm – London
  • 7 am – Vancouver
  • 10 am – Washington DC

The working language of the event is English.
