On January 31, 2019, IWPR Tajikistan hosted an expert meeting “Sinology in Tajikistan: Who Should Study It and Why?”. The experts, representatives of analytical centers, young political scientists and journalists discussed the status and problems of sinology in Tajikistan and made a list of recommendation for development of this field of Tajik science.

The leading experts of analytical and research centers of Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan, political scientists and journalists discussed the situation in Tajik Badakhshan and suggested their vision of the possible solutions to existing problems. CABAR.asia 04.12.18

Young analysts and journalists from Kazakstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan have discussed challenges and trends in their countries in 2019 at a three-day meeting, held a regional meeting on the quality of analytics and water and energy issues in the region, and also have improved their skills of writing analytic materials and visualisation.

On April 14, at the initiative of the representative offices of the Institute for War and Peace Reporting, an online dialogue was held between civil society representatives and intellectuals of Afghanistan and Tajikistan. The theme of this Skype conference was the experience of Tajikistan in establishing peace after the civil war of 1992-1997, and the possibility of using this experience in Afghanistan. (more…)
