Yet another podcast series is dedicated to border issues between Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan. The editors of CABAR.asia, Ermek Baisalov and Nargiza Muratalieva, are having a discussion with experts from two countries: candidate of political sciences Sherali Rizoen is sharing his thoughts from Tajikistan, and political scientist Alibek Mukambaev is discussing from Kyrgyzstan.

What are the differences in the interpretation and understanding of periodically recurring cross-border conflicts between Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan? Is it possible in practice to conduct an exchange of territories and how will this affect the reduction of conflict potential? Should intermediaries be involved to resolve these issues? What other mechanisms for resolving these problems exist? This and other questions are discussed in the CABAR.asia podcast.

The 5-Stan podcast discussion (in russian language) by CABAR.asia is available at:
