According to official data, in the last 10 years more than 321 thousand people left Kazakhstan. This number equals the population size in the town of Semei, where 323,199 people live as of January 1, 2019.  Over 25 per cent of emigrants are people in the age of 15 to 28 years old.

The constitutions of the Central Asia’s countries guarantee to all citizens, regardless of nationality, religion and gender, aspire for different posts in all branches of power. 189 countries in world have ratified the UN Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women. It seems that women have already achieved equality at the political level. Nevertheless, the representation of women in politics and decision-making processes in the countries of the region is still below the basic international level.

Kazakhstan is a country rich in energy resources, and is among top ten oil producing, refining countries. Two years ago, the country held the international specialised exhibition EXPO 2017, which preparation and holding cost 565.1 billion tenges (2.1 billion dollars). Organisers and experts predicted it’s income would be 520-910 million dollars.

After billion-dollar investments the capital of Kazakhstan, Nur-Sultan (formerly Astana), has rapidly turned into a modern developing city. For 21 years of existence, it has changed beyond recognition. In chase of improvement of the capital, it’s outskirts remain neglected.
