On 3 February 2022, the Central Asian office of the Institute for War and Peace Reporting (IWPR) and its analytical platform CABAR.asia hosted an international online expert discussion titled “Reforms in Kazakhstan 2.0: Security and Politics, Economy and Civil Society”.
This handbook was published as part of the Development of New Media and Digital Journalism in Central Asia project and serves as a methodological guide on new media for journalism tutors and media trainers. (more…)

The Go Viral Central Asia networking platform brings together digital communication experts and aspiring entrepreneurs and content creators to strengthen connections and share experiences.
On November 10-13, 2021, CABAR.asia Media School held a Content Lab dedicated to social design in the digital space and the role of online communities in promoting projects. The event was created as a collaboration platform for the digital content makers’ community in Central Asia.
On December 9 and December 14, the Institute for War and Peace Reporting in Central Asia (IWPR CA) presented the Handbook for journalism tutors “Handbook on New Media” in Bishkek and Dushanbe. The Handbook is one of the important outcomes of the long-term CABAR.asia Media School’s initiative to work with the journalism faculties.
The analytical platform CABAR.asia organized an expert meeting on “Juvenile Delinquency in Central Asia: How Effective is the State System of Re-education?”, which was attended by experts from four Central Asian countries.
