The results of a sociological survey conducted by Alisher Gardonshoev, a graduate of the CABAR.Asia School of Analytics, show that the residents of the capital of Tajikistan have an overwhelmingly positive attitude towards sociological surveys. At the same time, a quarter of those surveyed believe that the government should take the results of such surveys into account.

Tajikistan’s waste collection and recycling market is underregulated, believes Anisa Abibulloeva, environmental activist and graduate of the CABAR.asia school of analytics. In her opinion, this creates both risks and opportunities for the different parties involved in this process — waste collectors, the state, and civil society.

Muhaiyo Kamolova 20.02.23

Women are underrepresented in Tajikistan’s financial sector, argues Mukhayo Kamolova, a CABAR.asia School of Analytics participant. She believes that this is due to the conservative mindset of society, a significant imbalance between women and men, the low level of education of the population that puts obstacles in the professional development of women, and the existing market mechanisms that do not work correctly. In addition, there are certain problems that create barriers to women’s professional development.
