The IWPR Country Office in Kazakhstan is looking for an employee for the position of PR/SMM specialist.

The Institute for War and Peace Reporting (IWPR) is an international organization that provides support to the media, supports local reporters, citizen journalists and civil society activists in three dozen countries around the world. IWPR has been operating in Central Asia since 1999 with a regional head office in Bishkek.
Summary description:
The PR/social media specialist will focus on creating appealing and creative digital content for IWPR CA’s various social media platforms. Specialist will be responsible for creating social media campaigns and the day-to-day management of the company’s social media properties.
The specific tasks include the following:
- Develop, implement, manage and monitor the SMM strategy for IWPR CA and cabar.asia
- Manage and oversee social media content including but not limited to planning, creating, publishing, and sharing new content (original text, images, or video) on a daily basis
- Develop, launch and monitor targeted ads on social media
- Oversee and report on given metrics
- Work on the Media School website and upload the project-related documentation to the website
- Produce scheduled narrative reports for IWPR and the donor in line with their requirements.
EDUCATION:
Higher education in marketing, communications, or other related fields.
EXPERIENCE:
- Experience in social networking, innovative outreach, presentations, and marketing;
- High level of attention to detail;
- Effective interpersonal skills, cross-cultural and communication skills;
- Knowledge of graphic design and other digital tools is an asset (Adobe Photoshop, Tilda, WordPress);
- Excellent knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, and other social media best practices
LANGUAGE:
Strong writing and communication skills in Russian, Kazakh, and English languages.
Based: Almaty, Kazakhstan
