CABAR.asia 23.05.19

The center brings together experts in the field of social, political, economic development of the countries of Central Asia and provides expert-analytical, advisory services in the development of analytical documents, strategic development plans, research in various fields, including forecast ones.
Initially, the basis of the analytical group of the Polis Asia Center was the experts of the International Institute for Strategic Studies under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, in which work was done on writing and promoting strategic documents in the field of development and conducting various studies. During its work, the Center has established contacts with leading analytical centers in Europe, the USA, Russia, China, and the countries of Central Asia.

The Center for Strategic Studies under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan (hereinafter referred to as the SRC) was established in connection with the approval of the new structure of the President’s Office of the Republic of Tajikistan in order to improve the quality and efficiency in providing information and analytical support to the Government of the Republic of Tajikistanю. The center was established on the basis of the Economic Research Institute of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tajikistan, which, in turn, was transformed from the Scientific Research Institute of Economics and Mathematical Economics Planning Methods with the computing center of the State Planning Board of the Tajik SSR, created in 1971 in accordance with Resolution of the USSR State Committee on Science and Technology of April 13, 1971.
In its activities, the Center is guided by the Constitution and laws of the Republic of Tajikistan, decrees, and orders of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan.

Al-Farabi Kazakh National University is the leading institution of the system of higher education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, which was the first to pass the state certification and which has justified its right to realize academic activity on all specialties and at all levels.

Al-Farabi KazNU is the leader of the General rating of the universities of Kazakhstan, which was the first laureate in the history of the country of the Presidential award of the Republic of Kazakhstan “For achievements in the area of quality”, a laureate of the Award of the CIS for achievements in the area of quality and services.

Paper Lab is a research group created by young experts from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan to jointly implement research projects in the field of public policy. The PaperLab Group specializes in policy-oriented research focused on solving problems, not just diagnosing them.
In analytical work, team members apply a multidisciplinary approach with a combination of academic knowledge and applied analytic skills.
In addition, the group puts efforts at improving the research and analytical environment through a discussion platform and conducting training and workshops to improve the skills of Kazakhstani researchers on topics such as methodology, research ethics, fundraising, public speaking, research promotion, etc.

Institute of World Economics and Politics (IWEP) was established in 2003 and became the leading «think tank» of Kazakhstan. It is an open independent expert platform to discuss regional and global challenges of the modern world. The Institute is actively involved in the public debate on the global economy, geopolitics, security, integration, and Eurasianism. At the international level, it actively cooperates with foreign think tanks, spreading objective and reliable information about Kazakhstan and its foreign policy.

The Tajik authorities assert that the medical examination and treatment of children returned from Iraq continues, and further steps will be taken to implement programs for their return to families. However, the Tajik expert believes that the measures that government takes are not enough.
