Recently, various publications circulate materials on the difference in commodity circulations between Central Asian countries and major partners. Deficiencies were indicated in the figures between the figures of the customs services of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan with China. This article shows attempts to identify a similar situation in other countries of the region.
The attitude towards women entrepreneurs in religious communities is ambiguous and often controversial: from full approval to obvious reproof. However, women’s participation in the business domain is an economic impetus for the national development and prosperity. Whereas religious pluralism that is developing in the Kyrgyzstan society is a trend that contributes to the strengthening of the state.

The concentration of harmful particles in Nur Sultan exceeds the annual norm by 2.5 times. Air quality in Almaty did not exceed the norm for only one day in five months. Bishkek often falls into the top of the most polluted cities in the world. The most dangerous days in 2019 for Dushanbe were summer and autumn, when dusty storms covered the city. In Ashgabat, the level of air pollution rarely exceeds the acceptable norm. Air in Tashkent was harmful 80% of the days in 2019.

Kyrgyzstan has over three thousand various religious organisations registered, which maintain peace and dialogue between themselves. The constitution guarantees equal rights and freedoms to all religious people.
65.6 million people live in the four countries of Central Asia, including 7.8 million pensioners. In other words, every eighth resident of Central Asia is on pension.
60 per cent of schools in Kyrgyzstan were built until 1980 meaning that they have used their resources in full and require major repair, according to the analysis performed by Bulan Institute. The problem with rural schools is a major problem.

The constitutions of the Central Asia’s countries guarantee to all citizens, regardless of nationality, religion and gender, aspire for different posts in all branches of power. 189 countries in world have ratified the UN Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women. It seems that women have already achieved equality at the political level. Nevertheless, the representation of women in politics and decision-making processes in the countries of the region is still below the basic international level.
From 15 to 21 April 2019 in Almaty, with the support of the Institute for War and Peace Reporting (IWPR), the Second School of Analysts cabar.asia was organized. More than 20 young researchers from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan participated in the program. (more…)
From 15 to 21 April 2019 cabar.asia analytical platform, with the support of the Institute for War and Peace Reporting in Central Asia and the OSCE Academy in Bishkek, organized the Second Program for young experts from Central Asia within its School of Analytics.
