CABAR.asia launches a series of webinars on what analytics is. The speakers are young professionals from Central Asia and graduates of the CABAR.asia School of Analytics.

Dear friends, we are launching a series of webinars to simply and easily tell you what analytics is. The speakers are young professionals from Central Asian countries and participants of the CABAR.asia School of Analytics. 

Webinar on the topic – “How to conduct research: from idea to implementation”

The first webinar will be held on April 7, 2020  and will be devoted to the topic of how to conduct research. You will learn:

  • How to read and understand any research.
  • Why qualitative research is done.
  • How to prepare a methodology for such a study.
  • How to create questionnaires, conduct focus groups and interviews.

You can discuss these and other issues with Anna Zubenko, a researcher from Kyrgyzstan, a specialist in public safety and crime prevention.

Webinar on the topic: “Analytics: a filter of information flows”

The speaker is Yuri Sarukhanyan, a specialist in the field of international relations from Uzbekistan. He has experience working in analytical centers and representative offices of international organizations in Uzbekistan, leads the analytical telegram channel “ Penalty Series (Серия Пенальти)”.

Yuri Sarukhanyan is a graduate of the Faculty of International Relations at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy (Uzbekistan), as well as Master’s programs at the University of Strasbourg and Jean Monnet University (France).

The webinar will be devoted to the main element of analytics – information. Yuri will tell how the development of analytical thinking helps to navigate in a variety of information, to resist manipulations and to form own point of view on various events.

Webinar on the topic: Systemic thinking at work and in life

Speaker: Practicing Analyst and Director of the Tajikistan Free Market Center continues our series of webinars on analytics. This time we will discuss together how analytics is applicable in ordinary human life.

You will learn how to use analytics to solve every day or even domestic problems, what is the method of thinking of Goldrat and how to analyze problems and evaluate them logically.

Webinar on the topic: “All about forms of analytics: What? Where? When?”

Speaker: Naila Almukhamedova (Kazakhstan), researcher and Master of Economics. She worked in the department of socio-economic research of the KISI (Kazakhstan Institute for Strategic Studies) under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as a leading expert, general director of the Parasat Institute for System Research.

From the webinar you will learn about the main forms of analytical materials and what you need to consider when preparing them, for whom the analyst is preparing and how to profitably submit your analytical product.
