Kyrgyzstan has no sex education at schools except for extracurricular activities, which are poorly supervised by the management. Adolescents are told about the reproductive system in biology and anatomy classes, but there are no classes devoted to relationships between sexes.

The reform of the judicial system, including new codes generation, was aimed primarily at the humanization of legislation and the decriminalization of certain types of crimes. Domestic violence, in the framework of the legislation change, was on the contrary criminalized. It was included in the Code of Misconduct, which is part of the criminal law. But the de facto prosecution of perpetrators has become more difficult.
There have been many talks about “smart”, modern and safe city in Kyrgyzstan lately. Although Bishkek is one step closer to the overall digitalisation, the city that doesn’t have accessible environment for certain groups of people cannot be called a safe city.
