Export and human trafficking for the purpose of operation turn into the long-term phenomenon in Tajikistan. Consequences of a civil war are not obsolete still, the sense of justice of people weakened, the stable relation between poverty, in particular in rural districts, and human trafficking scales observed. Although, law enforcement agencies declare that in the republic is planned reduction of cases of human trafficking, the problem remains urgent.
This audio programme went out in Russian and Tajik on national radio stations in Tajikistan. It was produced under two IWPR projects: Empowering Media and Civil Society Activists to Support Democratic Reforms in Tajikistan, funded by the European Union, and Strengthening Capacities, Bridging Divides in Central Asia, funded by the Foreign Ministry of Norway.
