Ruslan Izimov

Sinologist, director of the Synopsis Center for the Study of China in Central Asia. He received a degree in Oriental Studies at the Kazakhstan National Pedagogical University. For six years he was a leading researcher at the Kazakhstan Institute for Strategic Studies. He underwent a number of international internships in the think tanks of China, including the Chinese Academy of Contemporary International Relations, the Shanghai Academy of International Studies, the Center for Russian Studies of Shanghai University of World Languages ​​and others. He is an honorary professor at Xinjiang University. The author of more than 50 publications in various publications of the countries of Central Asia, Russia and China. Research interests: Sinology (problems of socio-economic and political development of China and its regions; security problems; China’s foreign policy), China’s relations with Central Asian countries, geopolitics, regional security problems.
