Household expenditures show us a good picture of their living conditions. We want to see what households spend their total wages on since it is the main source of income for most people. The property market of Kazakhstan has been feverish for four months already. After record high indicators of transactions in early spring, the demand curve went down, yet prices per square metre continue to rise. According to experts, turbulence is affected not only by external factors caused by the conflict in Ukraine, but also by internal factors, i.e. termination of government programmes and increasing the sufficiency threshold when withdrawing pension “surpluses” from the Uniform Savings Pension Fund.
The problem of clean drinking water remains acute for the population of Uzbekistan. In addition to global warming, frequent droughts, irrational use of water resources, irrigation of irrigated land with fresh, potable water, coupled with the deterioration or absence of water supply networks in some parts of the country, aggravate this problem.
Kazakhstan ranks 19th in the world and the 4th among CIS states by gas reserves. However, about one half of the population in the country have no access to gas and burn coal.
