IWPR Trained GBAO Religious Leaders on Media Literacy 10.10.19

More than 80 religious leaders completed trainings conducted by IWPR in partnership with the Committee of Religion, Regulation of National Traditions, Celebrations and Ceremonies under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, in three districts of the GBAO: Darvoz, Vanj Districts and in the city of Khorog, from the 1st to 5th of October.

IWPR continues to discuss the cases of violation of the servicemen rights 31.10.16

The representative office of the Institute for War and Peace Reporting in Tajikistan in collaboration with the public organization “Office for Civil Liberties” and Ombudsman Office in Tajikistan conducted another roundtable “The rights of the servicemen” in Devashtich district (former Gonchi district) of Sughd region of Tajikistan with the support of the European Union and the government of Norway.  (more…)

IWPR Proposes Learning Tajik Peace Experience for Afghan Civil Society Activists 16.04.16

On April 14, at the initiative of the representative offices of the Institute for War and Peace Reporting, an online dialogue was held between civil society representatives and intellectuals of Afghanistan and Tajikistan. The theme of this Skype conference was the experience of Tajikistan in establishing peace after the civil war of 1992-1997, and the possibility of using this experience in Afghanistan. (more…)

“Labour migration and its impact on women: Problems and Perspectives” – was the topic of a roundtable held IWPR in Tajikistan in partnership with the NGO “Centre for Human Rights” and “Perspective Plus” on November 27th.

Tajik journalists trained to cover sensitive topics 24.10.14

Twelve leading journalists from Dushanbe, Sughd , Khatlon and Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Oblasts took part in the training “Specifics of journalist investigations and coverage of sensitive topics” held by IWPR Tajikistan on October 23 and 24th with the active support  and financial assistance of International Alert.
