From July 12 to August 9, 1,650 new cases were diagnosed in Uzbekistan, according to the Ministry of Healthcare. As of August 2022, 243,000 cases of the coronavirus had been diagnosed in the country during the pandemic, with a total of 1,637 victims. (more…)

On March 25, 2021, the Institute for War and Peace Reporting (IWPR) in Central Asia in cooperation with the Foreign Policy Center London organized an online discussion on the topic “Central Asian (neo) Conservatism: National identity, civic freedoms and the challenge of protecting women’s and minority rights”.
IWPR has united experienced and beginning podcasters of Central Asia, Russia and United Kingdom at the online festival “Hello Podcasters!”.
