In this radio programme to mark international Children’s Day on June 1, IWPR Kyrgyzstan interviewed children on the meaning of the date. They spoke about the obligations of parents and people in authority, and about their own rights and duties, among them “the right to eat ice cream”.

This audio programme went out in Russian and Kyrgyz on national radio stations in Kyrgyzstan. It was produced under two IWPR projects, Investigative Journalism to Promote Democratic Reform, funded by the European Union; and Strengthening Capacities, Bridging Divides in Central Asia, funded by the Foreign Ministry of Norway.
